Looking for information on my maternal grandfather and suggestions on how to trace my family tree in Mexico.
Luis Lopez
Nov. 22, 1901, Morelia, Michoacon, Mexico
dec 25, 1986, St. Francis Hospital, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California
son of Rafael Lopez and Marianna Aguilar both of Galientes, Mexico
other known children: Carmen, Jesusita, Victoria; one of the sisters became a nun.
Luis Lopez immigrated in April 1921. He married Rosa Avalos on Dec. 15, 1924, El Paso, Texas and divorced in April 17, 1950 in El Paso, Texas. Luis married 2nd wife; Natividad Corral on April 30, 1950 in El Paso, Texas and had the following children: Josefina, Adela, Jesus, Martine and Michael. They once lived in Azusa, California.
Luis and Rosa had the following children:
Maria Jesusita, Bertha, Elena, Ramon A., Carmen, Luis Jr., Mercedes, Carmensita and one child i no name for. I believe Luis Jr., Mercedes, Caremnsita and unknown children may of all been born in Mexico where Luis' family is from.
Luis was raised by an aunt soladad and had a good friend by the name of chano in mexico.
He worked for the southern pacific railroad as a laborer.
Hope this fits in with someones family.
