Sorry for the long delay in responding to your last posting. The best I can suggest for finding information on Jose Trinidad Laris is to obtain local history of Teocaltiche during the first quarter of 1900s. My understanding is that he was the historian of records for much of the revolution years and the Cristero Wars in that part of Jalisco. He is listed among Personajes Ilustres of Teocaltiche. Hope you read Spanish, attached is url for the Enciclopedia de Municipios de Mexico (Estado de Jalisco) this might give you a start. Scroll down to Region 2-Altos Norte and click on #91 for Teocal. If I run across any material in my research, I'll be happy to forward it to you. Good luck on your search.
Luis
