Seeking info on parents/family of Frances Burden who was born 3 Feb 1806 Elbert Co. GA. In 1824 she married Thomas Mewbourne (assumed in Elbert Co. GA.) and they had children: Sarah Ann, Mary E., James Rawlins, Archibald Marion, Harriett C., Thomas J., John Vestal, Martha Frances, William Marshall, Martin Crumbly, and Asberry J., all born in Elbert Co. GA. The family was on the 1850 census in Elbert but on the 1860 census they were in Gwinnett Co. GA. There were many Burden families in Elbert Co. at this time but I can't determine which, if any, are the parents of Frances. On the 1820 census an Archibald Burden lists a daughter who fits the correct age for Frances. There was another Archibald Burden in the area (b c1745, d c 1808), married to Harriett, who could have been her father. Frances named her children these familiar Burden names. On the same census, an Archibald Muburn (aka Mewbourne), the father of Frances’ husband, Thomas, is listed next to James Burden. Also listed is a Sheppard which is the maiden name of Archibald Mewbourne’s (Muburn, Nuburn, Mewbourn) wife, Faitha. Based on all of these similarities, I feel that the parents of Frances are in this area or if not, are at least related to those who are. I would appreciate any help on this puzzle. Thanks
