Allison--There is a Robert and Maxine
Mewbourn living in Van Zandt County--which is
the next county up from where I live. I know
them as they used to come to the Mewbourn
family reunions we had for years. We no longer have the reunions as so many of the
older Mewbourns are now gone. Robert's dad
was T.L. Mewbourn, I believe. Could this be
the Robert and Maxine you are referring to?
Off the top of my head, I do not recall the
names of their children. All my information
is in my younger sister's possession at the
moment; so can't refer to it. I have been in
contact with an Elaine Diehl who also lives
in Van Zandt County, and has done some
research on the Mewbourns. Had a meeting set
up with her, but I got sick and had to cancel
Still have hopes of setting up a new meeting
to get what information she has. I am mainly
interested in James Reece Mewbourn and his
direct ancestors as he was my grandfather. If
I can help you in any way, please feel free to ask for any assistance.
