I have found Dempsey and on this site is a notation about his father being Thomas of St. Helena's Parish LA c 1836 will. I think I have found where Thomas was for 1830, living with Isaac Kemp the husband of his daughter. He notes his age as 50-60 (born 1770-1780). This is on page 285 of the St. Helena Parish 1830 census. I am trying to match this line with the Maryland Thomas Methvin/Mary Botfield line and would appreciate your contacting me to talk about the ancestors. Joan Methvin
