Antoinette, since the Mestas name has been in Northern Mexico and in the southwest for over 400 years, if we go back far enough we are probably distant cousins. Your Mestas family is from Chihuahua and ours is from Durango these are both Northern states.I find it interesting to note that certain names are passed down through the generations and in some families it is Jose or Tomas, etc In both our families names that appear are Louis/Luis,Guillermo,Fernando
