I am trying to find information on my great great grandma Teodora(Theodora) Mestas, Maestas, or Measts (no one is quite sure of the true spelling).
I believe she was born in Taos New Mexico possibly around 1873. Her parents names may be Santiago and Maryhilda but I am not sure this is correct information.
She was first married to James Santiago(Santingo) Martinez and one of her children, my great grandpa was Jose(Joseph)Martinez also known as JD. I know she had many children but the only other name I know of is John Martinez
After her first husband died she married an unknown man and had more children. I know one of her daughters married name was Isabelle Gutierrez and she resided in Denver.
It has been believed that my family is of Arapaho Indian decent by Teodora's line but again I am not sure that is true.
