Good evening...
My father-in-law was the original poster of this thread, inquiring on my behalf.
According to my grandmother, whose memory is beginning to wane, her father, Henry Messier and his wife, Dorinda Sara Messier née White died within the same month in 1933. Henry was around 50 years old, and Dorinda was approximately 49. Henry has four siblings: Frank, Adalore, Felix, and George(Georges???). Felix apprarently was the most prolific of the lot, and had 14 children, none of whom my grandmother could remember. Their parents were William Messier and Delia Messier née Beaudry. William was from Canada, and Delia was from Paris, France.
It appears that many of the Messiers hailed from Canada at some point in history, so tracing this line is going to be difficult.
If there is a connection, I would absolutely love to share some information. Mind you that I am a neophyte at this point, so I do not have a huge amount to bargain with!!!
Hopeful,
