Be careful with the informations in USA registers. In Quebec, we separate (make a very very very real distinction between) the name of the spouse (husband and wife). My name is Jean-Jacques Messier; the name of my wife is Claire Lavertu (daughter of Henri Lavertu and Julie-Anna Guay). She will die with the name of "Claire Lavertu", not Claire Messier. Her mother died on the name of Julie-Anna Guay, not Julie-Anna Lavertu.
Also, in USA, the french canadian names and surnames change often, and we don't have the same politic to write the names of your parents.
