Daughter Louise middle name from what I could find on LDS is Marie and she married a Joseph Langley in Smithfield RI. July 09, 1889.
According to Pawtucket RI death registry mother Louise died at age 67yr. In 1907 that puts her birth date at about 1840. Now with her oldest being born about 1865 according to 1880 census that puts the marriage between 1858 – 1864 and as you say it was most likely in Canada.
(The name Maude is unknown to me so I’ll keep that name for future reference)
Here is some other information I have on the family.
1881 Canadian census. Louise parents and siblings. (Marie would probably be Louise stepmother if Marie’s birth date were correct which it probably is not.)

This is some information I’ve collected on Paul Messier’s family. (Speculative at best at this time) (Pawtucket RI death registry 1905 does not list Paul’s parents)

Mother….Catherine Vandal….b. March 08, 1813 Quebec, Canada
Marriage….September 30, 1833… Quebec, Canada
Children:
Jean Baptiste Messier….b. Abt. 1840
Paul Messier…b. May 1842 d.1905
Any other information on this family no matter how small will be of great help!
