My grandfather is Joseph R. Messer, born 1895 died 1992, who lived his entire life in Allegany, NY. His parents were Robert Messer (born abt 1861) and Katherine Bordeaux(??). Robert's parents were John and Margaret Messer, who came to Allegany, NY region in 1860 from Hamburg, Germany. John had 2 sons, George (never married) and Robert.
I would really appreciate if anyone has any additional information regarding this part of my family tree.
