Thank you! Do you know if one of the John Merryman's listed is the one from the civil was who has the federal court case named after him? Also, I believe this "white-headed Nickey" was my great, great grandfather. My granfathers name was Richard Chester Merryman born 1914 in Steelton, PA, his father was Howard Mitchell Merryman and I believe he was the son of White-headed Nickey. My Great Grandpa Howard also had the most beautiful head of white hair. I am assuming that is why they called Nicholas "white-headed Nickey"? Correct me if I am wrong. If it is it must be genetic because at 23 I started getting gray hair. Can you tell me how you are related to the Merryman clan? Any other interesting facts on the family that you know of? As you can tell, I am eager to learn all I can. Thanks again for the information you provided.
