Hi, Tracy. I'm pastor of a United Methodist church near Sparks, and I have a Merryman family in the congregation. Though I'm not related to any of the families (that I know of), as a genealogy addict I've added my church families to those I track, just for fun. I just check my Family Tree Maker index of my "Church Family" collection, and I have these Nicholas Merryman's: Nicholas, b. 8 Feb 1726/7 Nicholas, b. 21 Jan 1778, m. Charlotte Worthington Nicholas, b. aft 1807 Nicholas, b. aft 1818 Nicholas, b. abt 1862 Nicholas H, b. betw 1806-1813, m. Rebecca Bosley Nicholas III, b. 20 Jun 1793, m. Dorcas Bush Nicholas Jr, b. abtg 1717,m. Deborah Ensor Nicholas Sr, b . 11 Dec 1726, m. Elizabeth Jane Ensor. Obviously, Nicholas was a popular name! Since my information comes from many sources and some of it's not trustworthy, some of the Nicholases above might be the same person. If you'll post what you know of your Merryman line of descent and any information related to dates and places, I'll see if it links to any information I have, and if so, then we'll both have learned something!
