Googling, the internet provides the following 'information' which suggests the Christopher who was living in 1674 was the son of another Christopher:

Christopher Rowles, born 1620 in England; died 1662 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Child of Christopher Rowles is:
Christopher Rowles, born 1645 in Anne Arundel, Maryland; died 1691 in Anne Arundel, Maryland; married Elizabeth Ricaud.
