I am researching my MERRIMAN line and wonder if any researcher might have information regarding:
+ MERRIMAN, Zephany - b. 21 March 1780 in Wallingford, New Haven, CT to Elisha MERRIMAN and Damaris Unknown - Lived in Otisco, Onondaga, NY per 1810 and 1840 NY Census - d. Dec. 1863 in Liverpool, onondaga, NY. On 9 May 1809, in Liverpool, onondaga, NY, he married:
+ PLUM/PLUMB, Esther - b. 14 August 1790 in CT - Do not know her parents names - d. 1 October 1871 in Syracuse, Onondaga, NY.
One of their sons:
+ MERRIMAN, Halsey Oswin (H.O.)- b. 9 Feb 1815 in Otisco, Onondaga, NY - Became an attorney and worked circuit court in IL and practiced law in Peoria, Peoria, IL - d. 23 March 1854 due to a throat/neck condition - Was first city attorney of Peoria - m. Sarah KINNEY on 4 December 1839 in Peoria, Peoria, IL. Sarah died 1 year after H.O.'s early and untimely death.
