I am a descendant of the Merriman family through my great-grandmother Addie Merriman (1888-1973) who was married to Rufus Pegues (b. 1883). They lived in Chesterfield and Marlboro counties in SC. Their children were Lillie (my grandmother), Dicy, Gladys, Nathaniel, Marie, Landis, Lottie, Milton, and Angelo.
Addie parent's were George Merriman (b. 1853) and Francis Owens and their children were Addie, West, Babe, Ballard, Melissa, Leon F., John L. and Descada(?).
