My records show Catharine Merrifield, daughter of John and Elizabeth, born April 22, 1840, Bloomfield, Nelson Co., KY; died 1880, Austin, TX, insane asylum. No husband listed.
Her half-brother William Boone Merrifield was my 2nd great grandfather.
I think I got this information from Fred Armstrong, but I'd have to look that up. Sorry I don't have any better documentation right now. Hope this helps you!
