Hi, Kit! Thanks for the suggestion, but I think 8 years old is a little bit too young even by Colonial standards. John & Sarah (Merriam) Sanders named one of their sons Ebenezer Merriam Sanders. This is the only case where they recorded a middle name, so I have a hunch that her father was an Ebenezer Merriam. Anything in the Merriam Genealogy that would fit this identification?
