What historical connection, if any, does this little burg in Muskingum County, Ohio have to the Merriam family(ies)?
My deceased uncle bore Merriam as his middle name. and his family lived in Muskingum County (Zanesville). I know of no Merriam surnamed folks on my family tree of Johnsons, Swingles and Baughmans. Perhaps, however, there is a connection I have missed.
