Hello. Do you know how the Kersh and Meroney families relate? My distant Kersh relatives settled in the Drew County area in the mid 1800's and there are still some there today. I am guessing of the family relationship based on info. I have found of Virgil Kersh Meroney III. I have researched genealogy for around 3 years and have found that it is not uncommon for daughters to name their sons middle name by the girl's maiden name. Or for an Uncle, or cousin. I have tried, without success, to find more info. on Kersh/Meroney through the internet. So far, your message has been the closest possibility that I have found. Could your Meroney be part of the Meroney/Kersh connection, or related to it?
Thanks in advance, Robert L. Kersh
