Meriwether, Fannie (Frances)

Hello!

My great grandmother was Frances Meriwether (b.1864 d. 1903) of Fort Republic Alabama - she married Felix M. Tait of Wilcox County Alabama and settled in Palmetto Fl. where she died I believe due to childbirth. I have found her line to go back as follows:

John A. Meriwether m. Sarah F. Quinn (father and mother)
Samuel White Meriwether m. Susan Rice (grandfather & mother)
David Meriwether m. Frances Wingfield....what connection, if any is this to the line of Nicolas or is this an unrelated line of Meriwethers?

I have a beautiful picture of her when she was we are guessing 16 or 18 but since she died when my grandmother was just 2 or 3 THEN the kids were split up after my great grandfather Felix' untimely demise, we knew so little of her. Her grave we found many years ago after extreme and exhaustive searching and we want to mark it as they were too poor to buy her a stone. We would like to know as much about her and her people as possible as to not just put a stone on some ancestors last resting place.

Please feel free to e-mail me directly. Any individuals seeking information on this Meriwether Tait connection, please feel free. I have droves of family pictures - they had 5 kids and I've got snaps of them all.

Thanks!
Stephanie Mendenhall
