Not related but here are the issues you are up against....
The last census available to us is 1930, we do have WW2 registrations in 1942, vital records are avail online up to 1910-15

If I read this correct [rough est of 20/generation]:
Mark Mercier b:1965 Methuen
Bernard A Mercier b: abt 1945
Bernard Mercier b: abt 1925

I found this:
