I need to make a correction to my previous post. William Joshua Mercer was born in Georgia, grew up and lived in the Santa Rosa/Okaloosa County areas of Florida. He then moved to Louisiana and had three children (William Frank, Josephine, and Luther Monroe). His wife Josephine was born in Mississippi. Any help with his ancestors would be welcomed.
