Thank You. I'll see if they are listed in the cemetery. The Mercer's are listed as Black or Mulatto, so I'm not sure records were keep well for them.
The Frank You found is my line. His daughter is my GGrandmother is Lillian. (although in the 1900 census she shows up as Elizabeth E. , which I believe is an error...her date of birth still matches Lillian's. By 1905 census it is correct(Missouri)
I found a Felix Mercer in Kentucky, seems he fathered children with a Julia Mercer and a Lucy Mercer.
To Julia there was a son born, James Nov. 8, 1856 father Felix Mercer and a daughter Susan 1855 listed, in the book page I found. My Frank's date of birth is 1856-60.
There are two Felix's listed in the census during that time.
It appears that Felix Mercer Sr. was quite wealthy, he has a son Felix about the same age as Julia, determining which Felix is the father is going to be a challenge.
I've lost my notes on the Felix's so my details are limited right now. Felix Mercer is White, looks like possible slave owner, of Julia.
