I don't know if it helps but--
The 1905 Wyandotte Co.,KS census shows Frank Mercer with wife Lou B.,and children Lillian,Nellie,Allan,Clarence,and Goldie.
By the 1910 census,Lou has died, and Frank lives with children Allen,Clarence,Goldie, and the newly married Lillie and William Ransom.
It looks to me like Frank remarried-her name is hard to read in the 1920 census, but it looks like "Veora";she is 33 and has children Chester,Armenta,Freddie and Eugene White;and Julia-4 and Dorothy-1 Mercer.
I do not see Frank in 1930,so probably has passed by then.
Perhaps if you contact the research library in Kansas City

And see if they can find Frank and Lou in their cemetery indexes; if so, then maybe you could get death records etc.and hopefully find parents for Frank?
