Hi Connie!

I can't believe what I just read!! My great Grandmother was Rose Hawkins. Sound familiar? She married William George Mepham in 1907, Colborne, Ontario Canada. (I have their marriage license) They too, conceived a child. Her name was Florence. Is this your husbands grandmother? If so, then we are related. Florence was my G-Aunt.
There's only one thing that troubles me. According to my Great Grandmothers second marriage registration, she was a widow. However, I still have one G-Aunt alive (Florence's half sister) who has told me that Florence's father didn't like Canada and chose to return to England. Thus, he ran out on my great grandmother and Florence.

Let me know if the pieces fit...
