I am looking for information on Bella Menzies born around 1897, her married name was Durell, or its possible she was born a Durell and married a Menzies.
The closest birth on the index I have found is Elizabeth Anne Menzies born 3rd Qtr 1897 in Islington.
Bella spent most of her life in Rhodes Street, Barnsbury, Islington, London. She was living at number 22 Rhodes Street in the 1930's.
Bella was a lifelong friend of Jessie Sainsbury whose married name was Ward. Jessie left England for Australia around 1919. Bella was the Godmother of Jessie's daughter Jill born 1927, who I am helping find info on Bella. Jill has handwritten letters from Bella.
If anyone knows of the Menzies or Durell families from the Islington area, I'd be happy to hear from you.
