On Rootsweb's website ( http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~darmi/Marriages1815.html ) I found the following marriage.
ELLISON, John & Charlotte MINZIE
Geneva NY, 28 June 1815
My G-G-grandfather Alexander MINZIE/MINZEY was also married in Geneva, NY, and had a daughter named Charlotte MINZIE/MINZEY, born 1830.
I am trying to determine if the Charlotte who married John ELLISON is the sister of Alexander MINZIE/MINZEY and that's why he named his daughter Charlotte.
Please, someone, can you help me out here? This family is about to drive me to the brink!! Thanks for any help!!
