Mary Ellen Null was the daughter of David Edwin Null & Eliza Ann Henry. Both born in Missouri.
Mary Ellen Null is on the 1870 Fayette County, Texas census as 9 yrs old.
I have not found her or any of her family on the 1880 census.
I have not found her on the 1900 census, but her parents are in Fayette County.
On the 1910 Fayette County, census,I found Eliza A. Null having two granddaughters living with her.Susan & Eula both 11 yrs old. It is hard to tell how their last name is spelled, McNeely or Meneley.
The Elm Grove Cemetery in Fayette County has a listing for Mary E. Null Meneley b.2/13/1861 d. 1/30/1954.
On the Gonzales county web site, there is an index for the "Waelder News". On the list is: McNeely, Mrs.: Quite Ill, mother is Mrs. Null; Friday, Nov. 29, 1901 Elm Grove &
Meneley, Mrs., moved to mother's, Mrs. Null; Friday Dec. 6, 1901 Elm Grove News.
In the "Gonzales Daily Inquirer" :Meneley, Mr. death; p.3 December 13, 1909 & Meneley, Si - new baby boy p.3 Jan. 16, 1909
According to the 1910 census, Mary's mother had 9 children, 7 living. On the list for the "Gonzales Daily Inquirer" there is a listing for: Null, Mrs. A. J., Died New Years Morning; Friday Jan. 7, 1921 Elm Grove.
This should be Eliza Ann Henry Null who married David Null.
Sometime after 1882 & before 1900 Eliza & David were divorced and he remarried.Did she after 1920? Or is the A. J. a mistake.
There are seven children listed as surving her. Mary Ellen is not listed. Is the grave marker wrong? Did she die before 1910?
Still searching.Plesea contact me at [email protected]
