Hello Cousin, Maria
By way of introduction, I am Anthony Joseph Rivers, the grandson of Maria Mendonca-Rivers of Alvarado, CA (now Union City and near Hayward) My granduncles were Frank, and Caetano, and I learned of another uncle, Antonio, through you, thanks. :)
Grandma Rivers died in 1977 and is buried alongside her husband, who died in an accident, in 1920, at Holy Ghost Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
Apparently, your paternal great great-grandparents were my maternal grandparents, and your messages have been most enlightening to me.
I am so very ignorant of my heritage and my lineage, and look forward to communicating with you via email. ( Cyniam12938@cs.com )
