Diane, Sorry it took so long to respond. I have not been working on genealogy lately. I think we are actually related which kind of surprises me because my grandmother always said we had no Menapace relations in S. Colorado. And I guess by the time she was involved your Giuseppe had already moved. I have church records from Tassulo and I have a Giuseppe M b. Mar 23 1873 and under notes it says "died in America" (morto) so I am assuming that is your guy! It shows him has the son of Giovanni Menapace (1834-1927)and Barbera Torresani (1843-1926) who were both born in Campo T. Giovanni was the son of Nicolo M and Maria Branz. That is where I come in. Giovanni's brother Fortunato was my great grandfather--his son Arturo b ca 1879 went to Segundo Colo and worked in the mines for awhile--then moved to Trinidad. He married Emelia Maistrelli in Trinidad in 1921. I would be glad to copy these for you if they would be helpful. I am going to Tassulo in about a month and we will stay with my mothers uncle Agostino Maistrelli. His wife is Adelaide Pilati and I am certain they know your relation Gina Menapace Pilati. I will inquire when I get there. Caryl Simpson
