I cannot find a Survil family forum so I am posting this obituary documenting a SURVIL family relationship here as a way of adding this name to the Genforum database.

STEWART T. HAMER
Allegany, New York
Stewart T. Hamer, of the Five Mile Road, died, Monday (March 13, 1978) in Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 2, 1912 in Hume, he was a son of Horace and Grace Ackerman Hamer. On June 30, 1948, he married the former Margaret Knapp, who survives.
Mr. Hamer was a dairy farmer, having owned and operated a farm on the Five Mile Road for the past 18 years.
Surviving besides his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Nancy) Survil of Allegany; a son, Leslie Hamer, at home; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Ruth) Ellis of Huntsville, Ark., Mrs. Lucille Harris of Franklinville, and Mrs. Margaret Green of Napoli; two brothers, Wallace Hamer of Cuba, and Kirk Hamer of Belfast; two half-sisters, Mrs. Florence Ward of Yorkshire, and Mrs. Marion Miller of Freedom; and a half-brother, Howard Hamer of Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Babbitt and Allen Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral and committal services will be held Wednesday (March 15, 1978) at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Briggs, pastor of the Five Mile Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville.
