Roger,

I'm a Red Sox fan, too, probably because my dad was. Tex Hughson, who pitched for the Red Sox, was his cousin. You can read about him at Wikipedia. I don't often recommend Wikipedia, but in this case, the story checks out.

Of course, I'm a Native born, true blue, dyed in the wool Texan, so I root for the Rangers and the Astos. Unfortunately, both teams go like a house afire for a time and then just fold. Disappointing!

Another cousin of Tex and Dad, J. D. Creel, also played baseball, but I don't think he ever made it to the Big League.
