My memories are of coming home from school and listening to "Jack Armstrong, All American Boy," and "Sky King" on the radio with my mother and siblings before we changed into our work clothes to do our chores. That was in the days before TV, at least in our part of the country. I remember in 6th grade a classmate, who's family had taken a vacation to New York, told the class about watching television there. That's when they were a very small roundish screen and in black and white.

My mother listened to a couple of soaps that were later on TV when it came along. One of them was Young Doctor Malone. I watched that when I was first married. Since then I've watched them all from their beginning. My favorite for years was The Edge of Night. Now it's General Hospital. I was sorry to see As The World Turns.
