I don't remember much about TV soaps. We didn't have a TV until I was a Junior in high school, and no soaps aired after I got home from school. But I remember listening to Lorenzo Jones, Stella Dallas, and the Guiding Light on the radio in the summertime. Lorenzo Jones and Stella Dallas never made it to TV that I know of, but Guiding Light did. Papa Bauer was ruling the roost in the radio days. Someone told me they didn't think he transitioned to TV, but I don't know for sure.
