David, I think you must be correct in saying that Bill Smith lives not too far from me.
I'm about 4 miles due West of the DFW airport, as the crow flies, and Bill indicated he was about 8 miles from the airport.
Back to the subject.... I look out on a front lawn of St. Augustine grass with a large oak, a live oak, 3 Japanese black pines, an Arizona ash and 3 25 ft. tall red crape myrtle trees lining my driveway. I've been in this house over 23 years (bought new) and it is a very quite neighborhood with people who keep up their yards and houses. ...Glad you didn't ask about the back yard, as it is a jungle with wild grapevine that overwhelms everything each year.
I need to check this forum more often, as I really enjoy everyones' postings.
