My gr gr grandfather, maternal, fought for MS Calvary. His unit fought at the battle of Franklin and then in Nashville.

I sure would like to know how to get the muster roll for the unit at Franklin and Nashville. Someone emailed me and told me ALEXANDER YOUNG did survive and returned home to Mobile, Ala.

I can find NO RECORD of his burial, however. His widow remarried in 1867. So, he must have died shortly after returing home----or he died in one of the battles. I would love to know. The 17th Miss. Battalion became part of the 9th Mississippi Cavalry late in the war.

Alexander Young never used an initial. I would like to know how to see if he survived.

I love that book.
