We finally found my George with his father and mother in the 1900 Census and living near them in the 1910 & 1920 Census. Although the 1920 Census has his dad Lemuel listed as a female, lol. We discoverd that my George H Shell is the son of Lemuel Shell & Margret "Peggie" Sizemore. Now I'm having fun trying to trace Lemuel. His death cert list George W. Shell as his father & Susie Winters as his mother and his wife and both from Hampton TN. We haven't been able to trace Lem prior to 1900, except for 1 1850 census in Hardy that list a Lemeul Shell wich is the 1 yr old son of a George W. Shell. The only problem is, we cant find Lem for 50 more years and that George moves up north. We were able to trace Margret somewhat. We found her w/ her father George W. Sizemore in 1850 & then in 1860 married to Simeon Buchanan. Then she disappers again untill the 1900 census w Lem. However we can confirm that this Margaret is our Margaret. One of her son's from her first marriage is the informant on Lem's death cert. But we still don't have enough evidence to tie Lem to any of the George W. Shell's. To many pieces to the Lem puzzle just don't add up.
