Maranda:I should have posted this when you mentioned it, but I didn't have it handy, here is what I have in my notes concerning william ray/rhea and john blakemore.....1812 russell co va deed book 4-grantee index pg 483-30th april to: william rhea....blackemore, john dec'd andrew davis exec'r; davis andrew, exec'r of john blakemore, dec'd....pg 531-28th july to: william rhea ..baker, isaac heirs of john blackemore to william rhea, george, thomas & william blackemore etal heirs blakemore john dec'd by andrew davis, exec'r cantrill, stephen, etal heirs of john blackemorecrunk, john w., etal heirs of john blackemore, davis, andrew etal heirs of john blackemore, douglas, elmore etal heirs of john blackemore, norris, john etal heirs of john blackemore......evidentially"etal" means some legal term, today means others in a group, how they were using here would depend of the course of action being decieded by the court, but since its in the deed book it probably has something to do with the land in the estate....jim
