I have gone through the archives of this forum and have my own questions for the group. My Kennedy family originally came from NC, came to Alabama via SC and Ga. Grandmother told me her mother was "Indian" and we were black irish. I have researched this family for years and only today found this forum. Can anyone tell me where I can find the names of the Kennedy/Canady's in NC and how to connect my grandmother to them. I have gone through every census report I can find and I can find the names of suspected family, but no solid proof of brothers. I have the 'creek knot', the tooth characteristics, and other supposed signs of my heritage but no PROOF. I would appreciate any help.
