Mary:Hello, I don't know if you remember me, but I think you were who has a jones connection in your family, like I do I've been working on mine some as I find the time, I've found some interesting things about my jones family connection, my greatgrandmother was cathrine jones daughter of nathaniel teller (tiller) jones and mary ann McCowan of floyd co ky on early census, (before the civil war) they were listed as FPC, I found that nathaniel was the grandson of a nathaniel jones from who he was named after, and that this nathaniel was regestered fpc in va and also he was on the thiths list in n c in the household of a jesse jones, who traces back to a margret jones who was fpc in the 1600"s, it is well known through our family that we decend from indians, and that greatgrandma was cherokee, in looking into that, I found a licensed indian trader by the name of roger tillman who had in his employee a saponi indian by the name of capt. john jones, this roger tillman was known to buy captured cherokee from the catuwba indian, from slave raids in the carolina's and georgia, I am not one to just say all this gospal and fact without finding other things to support it, to cut to the chase, if your the one who has a jones connection would you have any facts in your research, I have a number of pages of a great many jones familys and individual's who were registered fpc in va, and some in n c....thank you ...jim
