Possible French origins of word "Melungeon"
Ive been thinking for some time that the word "melungeon" could have French language origins.
The French word "melange" [silent e] means "mixture".
The French word "gens" [pronounced jun] means "people" or "persons".
What if Melungeon means "mixed people"?
