Janet: Greetings, that is an excellant example of how it really was, many things are lost in the passing of those generations before we came to be, that had been common knowledge to them, it is also an excellant example of the tools used by the few to control the many, learned from the roman occupations of europe......henning's statutes at large reeks of the many laws that came to be not so much as for the common good of the people but to preserve the rule of the few over the many....in 1691 an act of the virginia assembly forbid the marriage of white with any other race and said within 3 months of such tose who did would be banished for ever from the colonie, and there was another later on that said there was no law beyond brunswick co va, the true meanings can be seen just by reading them, ruling by fear as history shows alway's leads to throwing off the yoke, and usually starts in those few who are controlling the many...jim
