If we all agree with this evaluation pertaining to fpc ancestries referenced by complexion related terms such "melungeon", why all the competition between speculative theories extending back beyond the point where documentation evaporates in the backcountry Amerind homelands following the Indian wars? Though most of the earlier data inspires clearly speculative theory, did not Hashaw and Heinegg and DeMarce and Lipsey all indicate clearly the potential that all the diverse historic context revealed within their speculations may have contributed to the developement of multi-ethnic renegade enclaves later "discovered" by the advancing Christian colonists?
