relevance to what? DNA results can be used in different ways. Personally, I think the best use of the results is to determine if and how the different people with the same surnames are related. I do know for sure now that my Mullins family is NOT related to the Mullins family chronicled in Brent Kennedy's book. There are also many different Collinses and Goinses that may or may not be related. Others may have other reasons to anticipate results. But since there is no prototypical "Melungeon DNA", what exactly are you looking for?
