Are you indicating reluctance to conclude specifics from this trial even while acknowledging the rush to conclude by other genealogy hobbyists who write of "melungeons" as though the colloquialism pertained to something other than complexion biases? Do you draw NO conclusion yourself from this explicit historic legal situation?
