Hinging a speculative theory of the origins of the exonym "melungeon" on an Angolan word because of the Goins surnamed individuals enclaved at Newman's Ridge would be more viable if Goins surnamed individuals during the same timeframe at other geographic locations were also referenced by the exonym "melungeon". Does Tim Hashaw identify usage of this term for reference of any other enclaves of fpc who used the surname Goins?
