Joanne: Have you read the journal dr thomas walker wrote on his expitition, in about 1652 he was hired by the virginia proprietors to survey the lands farther west in virginia, in the area where present day scott co va is, he ran across people living in cabins and speaking a language he or his saponi guides did not recognize, his saponi indian guides told him they were not indians and had always been there,..the journal of dr thomas walker...its online....jim
