The Autosomal DNA test are based on data from Police Departments from around the world. Then they are up for " interpretation " , this is where the problem starts......
There is even a company out there that says it has "Melungeon" DNA tests, LOL,, what a bunch of malarkey.
I would advise anybody considering this type DNA test....Caveat emptor..... Latin for "Let the buyer beware".
IMO I would stick with Y-DNA or MT-DNA for genealogy research.
