Thats a interesting post. could you take a step further and elaborate exactly which particular Gibson and Dennam your reffering to.
I show Walter Gibson and Thomas Tedder where taken from the tower of london and imbaquied to Virginia via Barbados.
My notes show they left GLoucester to Maryland with the next generation ariiving in Perquimans yet not any tribe connected to the Melungeons but became Mixed blood Tuscaroras who lived as white settlers with white settelers and totall frequent marraiges with white settlers. I also show another line of Gibsons from Wales and England yet havent seen any records of them being convicted rebels ect
There is one point the most recent DNA project Melungeon core surname indiactes the highest number of those tested
Have male DNA haplogoup type from the Brittish isles. Whatever thats worth.
But at the same time some of the Perquimans bieng the same Currituck Gibsons have matched by dna to the Virginia Gibsons
Spanish Peggy might come by the Currituct Perquimans line yet there was also Virginia Gibson noted nearby 1700 in Bath his name was Francis Gibson.
